Our ADA compliant Directional Wayfinding tiles are designed to lead the public between spaces safely. Each tactile paving combines the most cutting-edge processing and material technologies, with our innovative, intelligent design, to create a detectable warning pad that is cost-effective, lightweight, and extremely durable.

Access^® Tile’s Directional Wayfinding tiles are available as both Replaceable Cast in Place tiles as well as Surface Applied tiles. Both boast the industry’s most efficient installation or replacement. Our Replaceable Cast in Place tiles are the greenest option on the market.

Our Directional Wayfinding tiles work in conjunction with our various truncated dome tiles to create fully accessible pathways around any space. To alert the public of a path’s end, Access^® Tile offers Replaceable Cast in Place tiles, Surface Applied tiles and Radius Curve tiles.

Wayfinding TWSI Applications

Our Wayfinding tactile paving has been specially designed to further advance the safety of public spaces for the visually impaired. These detectable warning tiles create tactile guidance pathways to guide persons throughout your area safely. The elevated directional bars can be comfortably felt through any footwear. Unique sound feedback technology has been included in each ADA paver, allowing persons with guidance canes to detect the difference between the path and the walkway audibly.

Access^® Tile has designed these detectable warning surfaces to work in unison with our truncated dome tile; the truncated dome tile marks the start and end of the path, whereas the Wayfinding TWSI directs individuals through your space.

All our ADA compliant tiles are available in bright UV stable colors such as Federal Yellow (33538), Brick Red (22144), Colonial Red (20109), Safety Red (31350), Dark Grey (36118), and Onyx Black (17038). These bright colors will starkly contrast most concrete surfaces.

Wayfinding TWSI Features

Access^® Tile products are the most durable, yet affordable, Wayfinding TWSI on the market. Due to their unique construction, each detectable warning surface is corrosion resistant, slip resistant, and abrasion resistant, making them the optimal choice for any project. Each detectable warning pad comes with a 5-year warranty, protecting your investment against manufacturer’s defects, defective work, breakage, deformation, fading, and loosening of tiles.

Each tactile warning surface has undergone extensive testing, using a variety of ASTM tests, and ASTM D tests to ensure durability. Access^® Tile’s ADA tiles are also tested using the AASHTO HS20-44 wheel load test, to ensure that they can sustain dynamic vehicle loading.

Wayfinding ADA compliant tiles have been specifically designed to withstand even the harshest conditions. They are non-porous, allowing them to withstand the freeze-thaw of harsh northern winters. Due to their UV stable homogeneous color, they are visible through the fog, rain, and other visual intrusions. Each detectable warning paver also has beveled edges, which makes for a smooth transition that meets all ADA Requirements.

How to Install the Wayfinding TWSI

Access^® Tile’s tactile warning surfaces are easy to handle and can be cut on-site to fit in any space easily, without voiding the warranty. As a result, their installation is remarkably easy and takes only a few minutes. If you opt for the Replaceable Cast in Place version, then they install in fresh concrete, and if you opt for the Surface Applied version they can be retrofitted into the existing concrete surface.
